This Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care will give you the opportunity to gain relevant knowledge and experience for the growing Childcare industry, helping you become recognised as a potential worker and future leader by Childcare employers. You'll learn to provide care for babies and toddlers, be aware of children's health and safety, provide emergency first-aid response in a childcare setting and much more.
As an educator, you may work under direct supervision or autonomously in a range of Early Childhood Education settings which may be centre based, home or community based.
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care provides a pathway for further study including Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and university qualifications.
Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to be employed in a variety of in-home and centre based roles. We also provide students opportunities for childcare jobs within Hessel Group or we can assist you to seek the best opportunities in the sector.

This qualification has a total of 17 units of competency which are split up into 15 core units and 2 elective units.
Students must complete a total of 160 hours (placement) under supervision in a regulated Education and Care Service.

This course is supported by the Government of South Australia. Subject to eligibility, you will only need to pay a student contribution fee of $599 for this course.

About the course
Our Enhance Training Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care CHC30121 (formerly CHC30113) course is designed to help you make a positive impact on the lives of children in a learn through play environment.
Little people are unique. Our course focuses on supporting children in achieving their developmental outcomes both as individuals and in a group situation.
This qualification will provide you with the ability to work in a range of early childhood education settings within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Standard.

In house student support
You will receive great student support throughout your studies with Enhance Training where you will have your own trainer providing support or for more individualised strategies, a learner support service (LSS) case manager will be assigned to you. LSS is an initiative of SkillsSA and the Government of South Australia and supports you with study plans, flexible study delivery, after hours support and guidance which also extends after your training is complete.

Placements
This course requires you to complete 160 hours of Vocational Placement, under supervision in a regulated Education and Care Service. This can be completed while you study.
Our Traineeship and Placement Officer can work with you to determine the best business for you to complete your placement and help you to secure it. In the majority of cases placements with Enhance Training lead to employment outcomes while increasing your network of professional, industry connections.
What you will need
As a student of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care you will need access to the internet, email and a computer.
Students will require a Working with Children Check for work placement and we can show you how to apply during your course.
