Trainer/Assessor Early Childhood

We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative Trainer & Assessor to join our growing team of professionals to deliver and assess units of competencies within the Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Learning how to deliver high quality structured theoretical and practical training sessions in order to assist students successfully meet their educational goals
- Participating as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment
- Providing support to other members of the team, as required, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to the students
- Acting as a role model for students
- Continuously learning how to develop teaching and learning strategies and resources to put into practice
- Planning, identifying and communicating the future needs of resources required for the provision of training to the RTO Manager
- Actively participating in the strategic planning of all training programs and the successful implementation of the organisational strategic goals
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders through effective and open communication
- Proactively attending and actively participating in personal and professional development activities in order to maintain current best practices
- Actively participating in the provision of student support, both internal and external
- Responding to any student concerns or complaints, and referring to the RTO Manager for guidance
- Committing to the Hessel Group Work Health Safety and Environmental (WHS&E) Policies and procedures including incident reporting and risk management
- Committing to the Hessel Group Quality Management System including identifying and reporting opportunities for improvement.
Skills required:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units: TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A, and TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502
- Completion of Certificate IV or higher in chosen field(s)
- Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs their training and assessment
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) (or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate of Through Their Eyes (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Drivers Licence
- High degree of professionalism and judgement with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- High level written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate and liaise effectively and sensitively at all levels
- Intermediate knowledge and experience in MS office and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers
