
About the course
This course is a 3-hour online refresher for students who have already completed the 1-day Through Their Eyes workshop.
Please note: This is mandatory every 3 years to maintain your current certificate.
Safe Environments training is for people working or volunteering with children. It is designed to help organisations support their employees and volunteers in recognising, reporting, and responding to children or young people who may be at risk of harm.
To create safer environments for young people, complete your refresher course online with our facilitator approved by the Department of Human Services (DHS), South Australian Government approved facilitator.

- Through their eyes: values and attitudes
- Risk and harm: South Australian legislation
- Risk and harm: abuse-related trauma
- Sexual abuse
- Through their eyes: disclosure
- Child-safe environments in organisations
- Reporting suspicion of risk and harm
Refresher Training:
You have previously completed the training, and you need to update it. The Child Safe Environments Program recommends refresher training every 3 years.
