This skill set course is for students who have an older Certificate III in Disability CHC30408 and wish to enrol in the Certificate IV in Disability Support. It provides the skills to satisfy the entry requirements for the Certificate IV in Disability Support CHCSS00125.

Who is the course for?
The course is designed to update your skills from the older Certificate III in disability CHC30408 and satisfy the entry requirements for the Certificate IV in Disability Support CHCSS00125. The course includes half-day practical skills training at our Welland skills-lab plus a work placement, however, if you are currently working as a support worker, a simple workplace verification replaces the need for a separate work placement. If you are not currently working as a support worker, the work placement requirement typically takes between 2-5 days (12-30) hours. We can assist with sourcing a work placement.
In-house Success and Wellbeing Services
You will receive great student support throughout your studies with Enhance Training, including your own trainer, or for more individualised strategies, a Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS) coach will be assigned to you. SWS is an initiative of SkillsSA and the Government of South Australia that supports you with study plans, flexible study delivery, after-hours support, and guidance, which also extends after your training is complete.

There are three possible entry points to the Certificate IV course:
Completion of: CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
OR
Completion of: CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
OR
Completion of: CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS this course: Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set CHCSS00125.
