They covered how this disability program gives an incredible opportunity for people looking to join the disability industry. With 6,000 new full-time disability support jobs being created in the near future, it makes one of the fastest growing industries in South Australia.
The 5-week EduCare Disability Program gives you hands-on-practical training following 4 accredited units straight from the Certificate III in Individual Support.
Successful graduates will achieve Nationally-accredited training in:
- CHCCCS015 – Provide Individual Support
- CHCDIS003 – Support Community Participation and Social Inclusion
- HLTWHS005 – Conduct Manual Tasks Safely
- HLTAID004 – Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
Bonus non-accredited learning portions are also included, giving you the opportunity to learn specific terminology used in disability, insights about disability sector and the NDIS. Health and wellness sessions, nutritional and sickness advice, professional development, exposure to several disability organisation and disability site visits are also explored. You’ll receive pay while on-the-job training.
Now this program is only $100, since it’s part of Skilling South Australia Initiative and supported by the Government of South Australia, an eligibility criteria applies. Link to the full newspaper article can be found here.
